Great quick and easy Butterfly buns Ellie makes these now by herself with a watch full eye from me of course and help with the oven.
4oz self raising flour
4oz caster sugar4oz butter
1 level teaspoon of baking powder
12oz icing sugar
Preheat the oven to 170′
Place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix till all combined then choose your paper cases and fill the case with the mixture two thirds full.
pop them in the oven for 15-20 mins
Make the buttercream by adding the butter and icing sugar together and combine till well mixed. Ellie wanted to make hers a different colour so add this and give it a final mix till all your colour has mixed all in.
When the buns are cooked take them out of the oven and place on a cooling rack. When cold cut out the centres and then cut them in half again, fill each hole with buttercream and then place your cut out butterfly wings back on and finish with a nice sprinkling of icing sugar.
