Chocolate and Hazelnut Cookies

I love this combination it works really well

This recipe is perfect for making at the weekend for the upcoming week as you can leave it in the fridge and bake as you need.

8oz unsalted butter

8oz caster sugar

6ox condensed milk

120z self raising flour

100g dark chocolate chopped

100g hazelnuts chopped

In a large free standing mixer beat the sugar, butter and condensed milk together till pale, Mix in the flour and then add the chocolate and hazelnuts gently mix altogether. Then divide the mixture into two and place on some cling film and roll into sausage shapes and seal with the cling film chill in the fridge for a good 30 minutes before baking.

Pre heat the oven to 180c /160c fan /gas 4

line a baking tray with parchment paper and cut thick slices from your cookie dough and place on the tray and bake for around 15 mins or until golden brown.

This dough will last for a good week in the fridge so you could cut as many or as little you want at a time so perfect for when the kids come home from school and you can whip them up a fresh batch of cookies.
