Cottage Pie with a sweet potato topping

My take on cottage pie i love it but i find mash potato so boring so I’ve added sweet potato to jazz it up heres what you need to get started

11/2lb beef mince

1 onion chopped

half a clove of garlic chopped

2 carrots

cup full of peas

1tbsp plain flour

200 mls of beef stock

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

salt and pepper

2 big white potatoes

2 sweet potatoes

Begin by frying of the mince still lovely and brown in a deep frying pan or saucepan then remove the cooked mince to a plate. Then add the onions,garlic,carrots cook till starting to soften then return the beef back to the pan and add the plain flour and mix all in.

Make up your stock and add the worcestershire sauce and pour into the beef mixture giving it all a good stir, then add a cup full of peas and continue to stir altogether and leave to simmer gently for around 20 mins stirring frequently to stop it sticking.

Boil up your potatoes for 20 mins then mash them with a little butter and splash of milk and season with salt and pepper.

Place your lovely beef mix into a ovenproof dish and top with your yummy mash and cook for 25 mins- 30 mins at 180′ until golden on
