Tuna Pasta Bake

This is a great summer recipe and quick too. would be great in lunch boxes too, and a great recipe to get the kids making as its very simple but yummy.

I always seem to over do the pasta so I’m in no place to tell you how much use how much you usually would use for your family meal.

You will need

Enough pasta for how many your feeding,

1 onion chopped

2 courgettes chopped

1 red pepper chopped

1 carton of tomato passata or if you have made your own tomato sauce ( which is so much nicer) use that you need around 450/500 ml

1 tin of tuna

salt and pepper

fresh basil

Mozerrela

Now that you have the ingredients

put a pan of water to boil and cook your pasta the normal way you normally do.

Then begin by frying your onion in a little oil until soft then add the courgettes and pepper and allow to soften once all nice and soft add the tomato sauce along with a good pinch of salt and pepper along with a few  chopped basil leaves and allow to simmer.

once your pasta is cooked drain the water away and add the tuna to your pasta and then pour on the vegetable tomato sauce and give it a good stir to get all the pasta coated in the tomato sauce, Then place in a serving bowl along with a few more basil leaves for garnish and your mozerrela cheese torn up all over so it melts slightly with the heat.

I serve mine with a home grown salad.
