I found this little recipe whilst out on a trip to my Waitrose Ive tweaked a bit too but all in all it was a great meal for the BBQ.
You will need
1 bottle of your favourite cider Mine has to be Bulmers as thats brewed in the town I grew up in and my favourite,
3tbsp Maple syrup
2 cloves of Garlic
4 sprigs of Thyme
6 Sage leaves
450g of diced Pork
2 Red Onions
1 Red Pepper
2 Eating Apples cubed
You need to begin this the night before or first thing in the morning as you need the meat to marinate.
Place the cider in a large glass bowl and stir in the maple syrup, garlic and herbs place all the pork into the bowl and cover with cling film and keep in the fridge.
Once marinated remove the pork from the liquid and discard the marinade.
Thread the meat along with apple, red onion, red pepper repeat till you have done enough on your skewer I used metal ones they heat well so cook quicker but if you’re using wooden ones soak them in water before hand for 30 mins to stop the burning.
Using a few sprigs of thyme dip into some maple syrup and coat the kebabs all over before placing them on the BBQ for around 15-20 mins. Make sure they are well cooked (but not chargrilled) lol
I served mine with a green salad and warm tortillas and of course a bottle of Bulmers
