Banana and toffee Loaf

My family love banana loaf and it’s such a great loaf you can make anytime as I always keep bananas in the freezer for when you need a quick lunch box filler.

All I did was use my banana loaf recipe and added a packet of Werther’s Original or any of your favourite toffees 50g just dotted in and around the loaf and bake in the normal way. its so true you can add what ever you like and my other favourite is chocolate and banana just add 100g chocolate.


Here is my Banana loaf recipe

100g soft butter

175g caster sugar

2 large eggs

3 ripe bananas

225g self raising flour

1 level tsp baking powder

2 tbsp milk

Place all the above into a mixer or a large bowl and mix altogether till all combined and you have a lovely batter then pour it into a prepared lined 2lb loaf tin and bake in the oven at 180’c for 1 hour

if you’re adding anything extra like chocolate or toffees etc add them in last.
